What this software will not tell you, and who to ask instead.

Most of this page is the ordinary sort of disclaimer. One part is not: RxNaija does not give clinical advice, and anything clinical goes to a registered pharmacist. That is section 2, and it is the reason the rest of the page is kept short.

1. What this page is

This page sets out the limits of what RxNaija and this website tell you. It sits alongside the terms of use and the privacy policy, and where it repeats them it is for emphasis rather than to say anything different.

It is deliberately short. A disclaimer that lists every hazard anyone has ever thought of is a disclaimer nobody reads, and the one thing on this page that genuinely matters is section 2.

2. RxNaija is not clinical advice

RxNaija does not practise pharmacy, does not diagnose, and does not give clinical advice. It assists a pharmacy's own staff with ordering and enquiries on WhatsApp. A question about a dose, a child, pregnancy, an interaction or a symptom is passed to a registered pharmacist rather than answered.

This is not a warning attached to a product that behaves otherwise. It is how the software is built, it is not a setting anyone can switch off, and section 13 of the terms says explicitly that we do not disclaim it.

  • If you are a patient or a customer: nothing an assistant sends you replaces advice from your pharmacist or doctor. If you feel unwell, or something about your medicine worries you, speak to a person. In an emergency, seek urgent medical help rather than messaging a pharmacy.
  • If you are a pharmacy: clinical judgement is yours and stays with your registered staff, under their own licence. RxNaija records and routes; it does not decide.

3. Information a pharmacy supplies

Product names, prices, availability and opening hours come from the pharmacy, not from us. Each pharmacy is responsible for keeping its own catalogue accurate, and a price or a stock level can be out of date between the moment it is entered and the moment you read it.

We do not independently verify what a pharmacy enters, and we are not a party to the sale between a pharmacy and its customer. If something you were quoted does not match what you were charged, that is a matter for the pharmacy, and we will help them resolve it if asked.

4. Testimonials

Where this site quotes a pharmacy, that pharmacy is describing its own experience. One pharmacy's experience is not a prediction of yours: the size of the catalogue, how many messages arrive, how quickly staff reply and how the pharmacy works all change the result.

Nothing in a quotation is a promise of a particular outcome, and you should not read one as a guarantee of revenue, time saved or message volume.

6. Availability, and relying on the service

The service is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and we do not promise it will be uninterrupted — WhatsApp outages, network failures and maintenance all happen, and some of them are outside our control.

Do not let a patient's safety depend on a message being delivered. If something is urgent, telephone. A pharmacy should keep a way of working that does not stop when a messaging channel does.

What we are and are not liable for is set out in sections 13 and 14 of the terms of use, including the things that cannot lawfully be limited and that we therefore do not attempt to limit.

If something on this site is wrong, tell us

We would rather correct a page than defend it. That is the point of having a short disclaimer instead of a long one.
